A.       The project proposal is the first step.  It provides a solution to a problem.

5.       Cost Benefit Analysis

B.      The Project Charter

1.        Segments the project name

2.       Identifies the project manager

3.       Identifies the sponsor

4.       The client

5.       Reason for the project and its purpose

6.       Defines the goal

C.       The Statement of Work  “Elevator Pitch”

1.        Focus of what needs to be done

2.       Assigned duties

3.       List the goals, constraints, and success

4.       Contractual if needed

5.       Chain of command

D.       Responsibility Matrix

1.        List the major activities of the project

2.       List the stakeholder groups

3.       Code Responsible, Approve, Cost , Inform - RACI

E.        Communication Plan

1.        Written strategy for getting the right information to the right people at the right time

2.       Regular meetings

3.       Status report

4.       Should incorporate more than one channel

5.       Examples of what can go wrong
